Together with the industry partners, a full-scale functional model was created in San Mauro Pascoli on the ALIVA premises. An exoskeleton made of aluminum was built into which the various possibilities of spatial extension were added. The spatial modules were built from prefabricated cross-laminated timber floors and wooden-framed walls. Subsequently, the windows and parts of the technical building equipment were installed. Downstairs is a sunspace, above it an extra room and at the top a balcony. With the construction of the individual parts important insights for the coordination of the different trades, the critical connections and assembly processes could be gained. They will help to further improve the technical system and gain valuable insights for the upcoming construction of the prototype in Athens.
